Welcome to American Martial Arts Academy in Naperville.
American Martial Arts Academy(AMAA) provides a positive and disciplined culture and environment where you and your children can grow with physical, mental, spiritual strength as well as become a socially respected and loved people.
In 21st century, we have new paradigm in Martial Arts Practice. Traditionally, every style of martial arts started with one objective: self-defense. It was more physical self-defense against animal or enemy’s attack in a society that was not civilized.
In the modern society, however, the definition of self-defense is slightly different from traditional ones:
First is the Prevention of self defense, which became much more important nowadays. American Martial Arts Academy provides classes that involve philosophy: Loyalty, respect, self-control, responsibility, and humility in order for them to grow with full potential.
If you are faithful, respectful, responsible, humble
and disciplined, who will not want to recruit you?
Who will not want to work with you?
Who would not want to work for you?
You will always attract people who are like you.
We naturally win when we surround ourselves
with good people.
Derrick Kwak, CEO of AMAA
Second, to gain confidence through physical training is one of most aggressive self-defense strategies that AMAA’s programs provide. Traditionally, winning meant survival and losing meant a critical lost. In the modern day, however, we do not have to deal with all those win-or-lose situation. Therefore, our children can sometimes, become weaker. AMAA teaches and provide educationally well-designed curriculum to learn physical skills that our children, and even adults, can have a sense of achievement and "I can do it" attitude in order for us to have a lifelong confidence which allows overcoming any obstacles that we might confront with our lives.
Third, AMAA provides leadership lessons for you to have a sense of how to become a good leader. Physical trainings without philosophy can sometimes pose critical problems. We have seen it a lot from TV, especially, on Sports channels. Sports Stars become popular, but a lot of them get in trouble. I think it is because they lack philosophy education along with their training. AMAA training provides meaningful and philosophical trainings while students are having fun during training sessions.
Furthermore, those philosophies that you learn from the classes will build up you and your children's leadership. Leadership is defined as: to have an ability to influence others. AMAA curriculum has been designed to produce good, positive, and disciplined leaders who can be looked upon by everyone so that we, as Martial Arts Practioner, can contribute to family and society, and give a positive influence on other people in our society to become better citizens.
Thank you
Best,

The Greatest Power in Life is Discipline…
Nothing in the world can take place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
Calvin Coolidge, 30th President of United States |
